On the phone with Vonage
As I still have no traction on resolving my Viatalk troubles, I’ve decided to move my service back to Vonage. I’ve called up Vonage to reactivate my account. It’s been quite a smooth process, though quite a long one. It’s taken about 30-45 minutes, but they’re on the phone with me to make sure my device works and is hooked up.
So this ended up taking over an hour, all in all a pretty positive experience and inspiring of confidence. I’m not really sure that the process should take an hour, but c’est la vie.

Sad days over at ViaTalk… Growth has not treated them well. It took 10 days to turnaround a ticket I submitted to change the timezone on my acct.

You should print out your letter to ViaTalk and send it in as part of your cancellation.

Did you port your number from Vonage to Viatalk and if so are you porting it back and how is that going? We’ve had Vonage for a few years now and in looking at their troubles I’ve been wondering if we’ll be able to take our number with us if they go under. (We ported it originally from Verizon.)

Porting back to Vonage complete. I didn’t even have to send a LOA to Viatalk.
